Advocacy and Direct Support

We believe migrants and individuals can only improve their circumstances when they are fully aware of their rights and empowered to make key decisions. Through our direct support services, SAO empowers migrants to understand their rights and confidently make choicesfor their future.

We actively assist with:

Rights and Advocacy: Navigating benefit applications and complex systems.
Practical Aid: Organising appointments and providing interpretation services.
Emergency Cash Relief: Offering short-term financial assistance to individuals and families whose livelihoods have been severely disrupted, helping them stabilise during a crisis while we work alongside them to access long-term support and sustainable solutions.
Moral Support: Accompanying individuals to vital meetings so they never have to face a
difficult situation alone. This hands-on work ensures our community has a voice today, while directly informing the long-term research and policy changes we fight for tomorrow.
